Micro-Enterprise Developer

JOB TITLE: Micro-Enterprise Developer

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Microenterprise Program Manager, provides training, technical assistance, and lending services to new and emerging business enterprises in Spokane County.

MAJOR TASKS: Provides technical assistance in business plan development to new entrepreneurs· Assists entrepreneurs with research, financial projections and analysis· Prepares loan proposals for business clients

DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS: Business degree or significant business coursework· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Ability to work effectively with people of diverse income levels and ethnicity· Computer literacy, at a minimum word processing and spreadsheets· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*AmeriCorps VISTA is a volunteer program of the Corporation for National Service. VISTA volunteers commit to a one-year term of full-time service. A living stipend of approximately $809 per month is provided, along with child care, health insurance, and other support whenever possible. An education award of $4725 is provided upon completion of the term of service. School loans are deferred during the term of service. This position begins April 16 with a three-day pre-service orientation in Provo, Utah. Travel and training are paid.
